B-Sedan is the passion project of car enthusiast Rial Barnett. Rial is a very collaborative client with an eye for design. For this reason, I consider him to be part of the art direction. His reference images and knowledge of historic racing made this process even more authentic. I approached this project through the lens of vintage ephemera design. I wanted the work to feel as though it was made in the golden age of Trans Am racing. To achieve this, I pulled era-specific fonts and images. I was also given a vintage snapshot of a famous race as a jumping-off point for the illustration. I am incredibly proud of how this work turned out and cannot wait to see what B-Sedan throws at me next.

My Name is Jordan Carr. I am a graphic designer and illustrator. I specialize in branding, illustration, packaging, and print, but anything interesting to design is in my wheelhouse. I started designing logos at 15 for local construction companies and called it t-shirt design, not knowing this was actually called branding. I spent most of my late teens and twenties working as a contractor, renovating houses, then designing and building furniture for boutique stores. Throughout each new venture came a new excuse to design a brand, build a website, and create. I had a kid, got married, got a couple of dogs, had another kid, and decided to follow my passion. I started focusing on graphic design again, and sometimes even made money doing it. I eventually went back to school and graduated from Cal State University Long Beach with my BFA in Graphic Design in 2022.
